OKAY so now I'm really excited to do this. Thanks to Nads over at Words Beneath The Wings for tagging me for this challenge. I tag my pal Meg at Blue Eyed Demon. Go check out both blogs mentioned because they are FAB! 1) E-BOOK OR PHYSICAL BOOK?
Physical books. I had a Kindle a few years back and didn't really like it. I prefer to have a paperback in my hands and one to add to your collection on display once you're done. 2) PAPERBACK OR HARDBACK? I prefer paperbacks for sure. They're easier to read and kind of softer in a way that makes me appreciate them more. Sometimes it can be hard to try not to crack the spine, but I manage. Although, I do like hardbacks as well as paperbacks of books that I adore. 3) ONLINE OR IN-STORE BOOK SHOPPING? In-store. The atmosphere in bookshops is so inviting and you are literally surrounded by others who love books like you. I use BD and Amazon occasionally but the wait to get the book always bugs me. 4) TRILOGIES OR SERIES? I love trilogies, but I prefer series. Especially if I love the characters and plot, who wouldn't want more books with them in it? 5) HEROES OR VILLAINS? Villains because sometimes they're crazy methods of getting what they want (i.e. murder, arson, genocide) are more fun to read (and write)! I love writing my villains much more than I do writing my good characters. 6) A BOOK YOU WANT EVERYONE TO READ? Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I know it's a classic but I couldn't do this without mentioning it. It's my favourite book. I think the characters are amazing, the plot so creative and everything about it (especially the setting and time period) is fantastic. My daughter is going to be called Estella without a doubt. 7) RECOMMEND AN UNDERRATED BOOK Anything by Annabel Pitcher. Probably My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece. I mean, a lot of people have probably read it and the rest but I think they're just too brilliant to not be mentioned. 8) THE LAST BOOK YOU FINISHED? Well, I'm currently half way through The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas (incredible) but my last read was a buddy read of Heartless by Marissa Meyer. It was an amazing retelling of the Queen of Hearts before Alice in Wonderland. 9) THE LAST BOOK YOU BOUGHT? The world book day Dead of Night by Michael Grant. 10) WEIRDEST THING YOU'VE USED AS A BOOKMARK? I think I'm going to leave this question unanswered. I don't think I've ever used anything other than an actual bookmark. I made my own bookmarks for Doctor Who like when I was 12. They're terrible lmao. 11) USED BOOKS: YES OR NO? I'm going to say no, because I can't own a book with a cracked spine and most used books HAVE A CRACKED SPINE. AND DOGGY EARS UGH. 12) TOP 3 FAVOURITE GENRES YA, obvs, Historical Fiction and Fantasy 13) BORROW OR BUY? Buy! I rarely, rarely borrow books because I like to own them all in the hopes of them being part of a library I own when I'm older haha. 14) CHARACTERS OR PLOT? Characters! Some of them you can just fall in love with so much more than the book. 15) LONG OR SHORT BOOKS? Depends, really. I'm going to say short books but I do love long books. 16) LONG OR SHORT CHAPTERS? Short chapters. You always end up telling yourself 'one more chapter' and I find I get those books finished quicker. 17) NAME THE FIRST THREE BOOKS YOU CAN THINK OF Divergent, Harry Potter and The Fault in Our Stars because I'm literally looking at Nad's blog post for the questions hahaha. 18) BOOKS THAT MAKE YOU LAUGH OR CRY? I love laughing out loud at a book but I prefer the more emotional ones that make you cry because I believe that's when writing is at its best. 19) OUR WORLDS OR FICTIONAL WORLDS? Is this even a question? Fictional worlds. 20) AUDIOBOOKS: YES OR NO? No, unfortunately. They're just not something I can concentrate on. 21) DO YOU EVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER? Of course. Who doesn't? 22) BOOK-TO-MOVIE ADAPTATIONS OR BOOK-TO-TV ADAPTATIONS? Book-to-TV because I'm addicted to TV shows and movies aren't really my thing. 23) A MOVIE OR TV SHOW YOU PREFERRED TO ITS BOOK? The Girl on the Train. It was just one of those stories that was told better on screen rather than in a book. 24) SERIES OR STANDALONES? Series! I love having more than one book with characters and plots that I love!!
